What 30 prints would cost you elsewhere.

We did the math because everyone asks. These are real numbers, today, in your zip code — not made up to make us look good.

Walgreens 4×6
Drive there, upload, drive back
$10.50/mo

$0.35 × 30 prints. Plus 40 minutes of your Sunday and an in-store pickup that may or may not be ready when they said.

iCloud + Inkjet
Print at home, eventually
$14/mo

Photo paper + ink amortized over 30 prints, plus the iCloud you already pay for. Quality varies. Most people print four times a year, then stop.

Shoebox
Lands on your doormat. Done.
$12/mo

30 prints chosen for you, on archival matte, in a kraft envelope. The decision happens once. Then it just keeps happening.

"I already pay for iCloud and there's a Walgreens five minutes away. Why pay a subscription for this?"

Honest answer: you don't have to. The cost is roughly the same. The subscription isn't really about the dollars.

It's about the decision happening once. Right now, the photo print isn't expensive — the trip to Walgreens is expensive, in the way Sunday afternoons are expensive. Almost no one we know prints regularly, even when they say they will. The photos stay invisible.

Shoebox is a standing instruction to your future self: every month, the best 30 land on the doormat. You can cancel the moment it stops feeling worth it. Most people don't.

Things people actually ask.

Can I see the 30 photos before you print them?
Yes. Every month you get a 48-hour preview by email. Swap any photo, skip any photo, or approve as-is. If you don't reply, we print our pick.
What if I have a slow month and there aren't 30 worth printing?
You can pause for the month with one tap. Or we can pull from earlier in the year — birthdays, that summer trip — and round it out. Your call.
How private are my photos?
We only access the photos you grant access to, and only to make your monthly stack. Nothing is stored after we ship. We never look at photos that aren't shortlisted, and we never train anything on them.
What does the paper actually feel like?
Heavyweight matte, archival-rated, cotton-blend. Closer to a museum gift-shop print than a drugstore print. The first month is free precisely so you can hold it before you decide.
Can I cancel? Will it be a hassle?
One link in your account. No call, no chat window, no "are you sure" carousel. Press it once and you're out. Your last stack ships either way.
Do you ship internationally?
US and Canada today. UK and Australia by spring. If you're outside those, leave us your email and we'll write when we get there.
Can I gift this to my mom / partner / sister?
Yes. Pre-paid 3, 6, and 12-month gifts arrive with a printed card and instructions on how they connect their own camera roll. Email us — gifts aren't on the site yet.

I priced this at what it actually costs to print and mail 30 photos well. There's no margin trick. If we charged less, the paper gets worse. If we charged more, you'd notice. $12 is the honest number.
